Print, Copy, and Scan with PaperCut

Information about printing your file(s) from a university computer at locations with PaperCut.

Overview

The Copy Center at Mat-Su College allows staff and faculty to print to the Mail Room printer in JKB. Staff and faculty on university owned devices can submit print jobs to our print server and release the jobs on the Mail Room copier.

What materials do I need?

  • A university owned computer running Windows 11 or later.

How do I use this technology?

 

Print

Note
Submitted jobs will be held for 24 hours. If a job expires, please resubmit it.
  1. Login to the computer using your UA username and password.

  2. Select Print within the desired application.

  3. Select the appropriate printer.

    1. PaperCut-BW for black/white jobs

    2. PaperCut-Color for color jobs

  4. Select/configure your desired print job options (e.g. duplex/double-sided, simplex/single-sided, etc.)

    1. For Microsoft Office products, Select Printer Properties.

    2. For Foxit PDF products, Select Properties.

    3. For Google Chrome, Select the following options:

      1. Select More settings, then Select Print using system dialog.

      2. Select the desired printer again, then Select More settings.

    4. A Printing Preferences window will open and allow you to configure a variety of settings. Select OK when you have chosen your desired settings.

  5. Click Print.

  6. Go to the copier, then tap your WolfCard.

    Note
    If the copier’s display is blank, press the Home button to wake the device up from sleep.

  7. For quick printing of all queued jobs, Select Print all.

  8. For fine grained job selection, Select Print release.

  9. The copier will now display a list of your queued jobs. Select the check box next to each job to confirm which jobs you’d like printed, then Select Print.

  10. Pickup your print job(s) from the nearby printer.
  11. Select Log out when you are done.

 

Copy

  1. Go to the copier, then tap your WolfCard.
    Note
    If the copier’s display is blank, press the Home button to wake the device up from sleep.

  2. Select Device functions.

  3. Load a document to copy in either the scanning bed or the automatic document feeder. The copier will display a preview of the document in the top left (if using the scanning bed), or it will show a generic document image to let you know it sees a document loaded.

  4. Set the amount of copies you’d like made.

  5. When all desired settings are chosen, Select Start.

  6. Once the copies are made, unload the original document
  7. Select Log out when you are done.

 

Scan

  1. Go to the copier, then tap your WolfCard.

  2. Select Scan.

  3. Load a document to copy in either the scanning bed, or the automatic document feeder.
  4. Select Start.

  5. The copier will take a few moments to scan the document and then send it by email. Once complete, unload the original document.
  6. Select Log out when you are done.
