As part of the Affordable Care Act, we have to track the number of hours that grad students work each week to determine if they are eligible for health care.
Job Form Guidance
For each grad student assignment (GN or GT), you will need to supply the Number of Hours per PP (pay period) on the job form. This will also be used to set up the 091 earnings code. If that value is not provided, we will enter the default values listed below.
Default Values
- GN --> 40 Hours per PP (Pay Period)
- GT --> 80 Hours per PP (Pay Period)
What to do if Work Varies
If the student is consistently working more hours per pay period, please submit an updated job form with the new Hours per PP. If the student is working more hours in a given pay period, submit a paper time sheet using 091 earnings code for ALL hours worked.
