Overview
GitHub is a code hosting platform for version control and collaboration. It lets you and others work together on projects from anywhere. GitHub is web based.
The git version control service uses Github Enterprise, a cloud-based application, to facilitate processes and collaboration. A git repository stores a project's files and is a maintenance service for files and file/projects. Through this service, authenticated users can store and share their code with others, rather than emailing each new version of heavy project files.
Generally, the GitHub interface is available directly through GitHub website, and for common support issues, customers can request assistance through NTS Support Center.
