Set Course Availability for Students in Learning Management System (Blackboard)

Overview

This article provides instruction on how instructors can set course availability in UA's Learning Management System (LMS). 

 

Important
Before you can set course availability, you must be logged into the Learning Management System (LMS) and the be the Instructor on record in the course. See Login to the Learning Management System (Blackboard)


What materials do I need?


How do I use this technology?

  1. Open a web browser
  2. Navigate to UA Learning Management System (Blackboard)
  3. Login using your UaUsername and password
  4. Enter the desired course from the My Courses menu

  5. Navigate to the Course Management Section of the left-hand navigation panel

  6.  Expand the Control Panel

  7. Expand Customization

    LMS Customization
     
  8. Click Properties

    LMS Properties
     
  9. In the Set Availability section, click the raidal button for the desired action:

  • Yes to make course available
  • No to make course unavailable
  • Use Term Availability will set course available for the term and then remove it at the end
  1. Click Submit.
