Yes. You can send and receive messages up to 25 megabytes (MB) in size, including the message's text, headers, and any attachments within the University of Alaska's mail system.
However, this is not guaranteed to work with every email address you may use. In theory, there's no limit to the amount of data you can send in an email as Email standards don't specify any sort of size limit. In practice, most email servers, and some email clients, enforce their own size limits. Some servers are configured to not accept email messages with total attachment size of more than 10 MB. Furthermore, since emails often travel over several mail servers when they're sent, you may have your attachment rejected by a server along the way if you attach too much data. Finally, you should keep in mind that email attachments are generally MIME encoded, which increases their size by approximately 33%. So 10 MB of files on your computer will become about 13 MB of data when attached to an email.
