Overview
The following article will walk you through the process of creating a User Story on a Project Plan Card Wall for project managed within the Enterprise Service Management (ESM) system.
What materials do I need?
- Internet access
- Web browser
- A valid University of Alaska (UA) identity
- Access to ESM TDWorkManagement
- Access to applicable ESM Project Application
- Assigned as Project Manager, or Alternate Project Manager for the desired project
How do I use this technology?
- Login to the UA ESM system.
- Click View Applications.
- Click desired Project Application.
- Open desired Project.
- On the left nav menu click Plans.
- Click the name of the desired Card Wall plan.
- In the desired List click Add (+) button.
- In the newly created box enter a Title, and press return, or click Save button.
- Click the Edit Card button to open the card edit dialog window.
- In the Description filed enter the user story.
- Toggle the Is Story button to classify the card as a User Story.
- Set the Story Points value.
- Set the Value Points value.
- Set other fields in the card as desired.
- To add subtasks to a task, click the Subtasks tab and enter the details.
- To add issues to the task, click the Issues tab and enter the details. Learn more about creating issues.
- Click Save.
- In the upper right click the X button to close the card dialog.
Need additional help or have issues
For support, requests may be submitted anytime using the appropriate Enterprise Service Management form. Requests generate a Ticket which will be worked in order received and urgency by IT Employees with the knowledge and permissions to assist with the request.
