Overview
This document lists the UAA IT Services (ITS) recommended security keys for use with UA's Multi-Factor Authentication systems, such as Duo.
Important
UAA ITS does not provide these security keys for free or at a discount; they must be purchased personally out of pocket. However, we encourage you to consider this a worthwhile investment in your online account security. These keys are not only compatible with our Duo MFA system but can also be used to secure many of your personal accounts that support security keys.
For university employees, you may request that your department purchase a security key. UAA ITS does not handle or process security key orders; we will only assist with adding the
security keys to your account.
Recommended Security Keys
Yubico Security Key NFC (USB A)
Just tap the security key to NFC-enabled Android, iOS, iPadOS, macOS, Windows 10, and Windows 11 devices. Yubico Security Key NFC also slips into any standard USB-A port for devices that do not support NFC.

Token2 FIDO2.1 Key (USB A, USB C, NFC)
Just tap the security key to NFC-enabled Android, iOS, iPadOS, macOS, Windows 10, and Windows 11 devices. The Token2 FIDO2.1 key also slips into any standard USB-A or USB-C port for devices that do not support NFC.
YubiKey 5 NFC (USB A)
Just tap YubiKey 5 NFC security key to NFC-enabled Android, iOS, iPadOS, macOS, Windows 10, and Windows 11 devices. YubiKey 5 NFC also slips into any standard USB-A port for devices that do not support NFC.
YubiKey 5C NFC (USB C)
Just tap YubiKey 5C NFC security key to NFC-enabled Android, iOS, iPadOS, macOS, Windows 10, and Windows 11 devices. YubiKey 5C NFC also slips into any standard USB-C port for devices that do not support NFC.
