Completing the Form W-4 as a Canadian Nonresident Alien for Tax Purposes

Nonresident aliens from Canada may complete Line 5 with additional withholding allowances for spouse/dependent(s) per U.S. Citizen regulations.

However, you must still claim "Single" in Box 3 and write "NRA" on the dotted line before Box 6.
