Q: Can an email acknowledgement serve as a signature on an appointment letter?
A: No.
Appointment letters must be signed by both the employee and the supervisor, director or dean. We cannot accept an email acknowledgement in lieu of a signature. Electronic signatures, such as those obtained through Adobe or DocuSign, are acceptable for appointment letters.
