Health Care - Temporary Employees

Temporary Employees who are hired and are reasonably expected to work 30+ hours per week will be offered health care. They will have a 30 day window from their first day at work to elect coverage. Temporary employees can enroll spouses/FIPs and dependent children. Temporary employees are not eligible for the Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) and the Health Savings Accounts (HSAs).

Temporary employees who are hired to work 29 hours per week or less will need to satisfy the 6 month look back period to qualify for coverage. This means they will need to work an average of 30 hours per pay period (130 hours per month) over their first 6 months of employment to qualify.
