Overview

Information about software that have been reviewed and disapproved for use by the University of Alaska (UA), University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA), University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF), and University of Alaska Southeast (UAS) students, faculty, and staff on university owned devices.

Software that has been reviewed and approved is listed in the Software Catalog.

Unauthorized software is defined as software that is not approved, licensed, or legal for use on university computers. This software is tracked by the IT department, and is for personal use only. Personal use does not cover ANY use of the listed software on university computers for any product since it is a business. Using personal use software on university computers exposes the UA system to significant liability and risk of lawsuits. The list of unauthorized software is shown below.

Need additional help or have issues

For support, requests may be submitted anytime using the appropriate Software Request form. Requests generate a Ticket which will be worked in order received and urgency by IT Employees with the knowledge and permissions to assist with the request.
