Adobe Media Encoder

Overview

Adobe Media Encoder is an encoding engine for Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Audition, and Adobe Character Animator that allows individuals to export videos to video-sharing websites like YouTube and Vimeo, devices ranging from professional tape decks to DVD players, mobile phones, and high-definition TV sets. Available on macOS and Windows operating systems.

Departments can purchase Adobe Media Encoder as part of the university's Adobe Creative Cloud agreement for use by Staff, Faculty, and Students, whether for administrative duties, or academic work.

Installation/Availability

Faculty/Staff

Authorized staff, and faculty can install Adobe Creative Cloud applications on university owned computers via the Software Center (macOSWindows).

Departments interested in purchasing license(s) can submit an Adobe Creative Cloud request.

Students

Authorized students can download the software for their personally owned device by following the directions in the following KB article.
