Microsoft Shifts

Overview

Shifts in Microsoft Teams is a schedule management tool that helps you create, update, and manage schedules for your team. Available to be accessed via Teams app on macOS, Windows, iOS/iPadOS, Android, Windows, and via your preferred web browser.

Features include:

  • Multiple schedules
  • Groups - name a group like a job type, or location to keep your groups organized.
  • Open shifts - Add open shifts to your schedule that anyone can request.
  • Time Clock - Lets your team clock in and out of a shift with a mobile device.
  • Requests - Review requests for time off, shift swaps, or offers.
  • Tags - Use shift-based tags to quickly communicate with anyone currently on shift.
  • Share - Share it with the team so everyone is up to date.

Available To

Staff, and faculty, and student employees.

Installation/Availability

Staff, and Faculty can install Microsoft Teams on university owned computers via the Software Center (macOS, Windows). Students, staff, and faculty can download the free software for their personally owned devices from the software's website.

Open the Shifts app

The Shifts app is on the left side of Teams with the other apps. If you don't see it there, select More apps ••• and find it in the list of available apps.
