The BSS9 project team has been reviewing the customized Student Mass Apply (SMA) EPAF, which will no longer be supported as of December 2025. As a part of this transition, starting in the fall semester, non-union student assignments will no longer require an end date.
What is changing?
-
End dates on offer cards, job forms, and EPAFs for non-union students are optional for the fall semester.
-
If an end date is not included on the job form, the Personnel team will not enter an end date in NBAJOBS.
What is not changing?
-
HRCs should continue to extend students for the academic year using the current SMA EPAF in UAOnline -> My Activities -> Paperless Job Process (in Mass).
-
Student appointment letters will continue to not require a termination date.
Continuing Student Assignment EPAF Entry Restrictions:
Use of the Continuing Student Job Assignment EPAF process will be disabled from 6/9/25 - 7/7/25. Continuing or new student job assignments with a beginning effective date between 6/10/25 and 7/7/25 must be submitted by departments via paper job form. The paper job form must be scanned and submitted through a NextGen envelope to be transmitted to Personnel.
