FML is job protected leave should you need to be absent due to a serious health condition for yourself or immediate family member and for pregnancy, childbirth, and adoption. FML can be paid or unpaid leave depending on the current balance of an employee's paid leaves (sick, annual, faculty time off, and leave share eligibility).
