The Adobe Cloud is where Adobe software can be accessed. License to adobe software via the Adobe Cloud are centrally managed by a University of Alaska system license agreement. Departments can purchase licenses from this agreement for use by Staff, Faculty, and Students, whether for administrative duties, or academic work.
The Payroll Department is a part of UA HR where we support all employees and provide solutions related to payroll activities. The Payroll Team provides support on both web timesheets and manual entry timesheets. This requires working knowledge of earnings codes, deduction codes and other items that make up your paycheck, such as child support orders, IRS and other levies, and court-ordered garnishments. Our Team Purpose is to work as a team, sending the right information and money to the right people at the right time.
Personnel is the department responsible for making sure that UA HR policies and procedures for employee job changes are followed and that correct data entry is completed so that our employees are paid properly. We work collaboratively with departments throughout the system to identify solutions on complex job change issues and provide training and support to our valuable HR Coordinators.
HR Customer Service provides services, answer questions, and solve common problems across all HR functional areas. In most cases, they will own a person’s or department’s issue from start to finish.
The Benefits Team oversees the administration of university employee benefits and retirement programs. This includes education about benefit options and enrollment, assisting employees with retirement preparation, and providing resources to support the well-being of UA employees.
HR Accounting is responsible for the payment and reporting of all employee's payroll and staff benefits, and all associated Federal tax payments and compliance reporting. This includes payment and reporting of taxes to the states outside of Alaska where employees work, and all International tax compliance issues for employees working outside the United States.
Compensation and Classification is responsible for developing compensation programs, policies, and approaches that meet the unique needs of our academic and business units. This includes the creation and maintenance of the classification systems, compensation structures and the policies and procedures associated with career development and pay practices.
