Switch Between Service Portals

Overview

The University of Alaska (UA) Enterprise Service Management (ESM) system supports multiple Major Administrative Units (MAU) across the UA system. Each of these MAU's have a Service Portal that supports services and departments affiliated with that MAU. In order to access services, and knowledge articles associated with these other systems it is necessary to switch to the respective service portal. The instructions below will help you navigate quickly between the available service portals.

Important

MAU service portals will only be displayed if there is at least one department within that MAU leveraging the ESM system.

What materials do I need?

  • Internet access
  • Web browser
  • Access to Enterprise Service Management service portal

How do I use this technology?

You can quickly switch between the various available service portals by doing the following.

  1. Ensure that you are Sign In to the ESM service portal.
  2. In the upper right corner of the window, click your Name.

  3. Click Switch Portals.

  4. A list of available services portals will be displayed, click the Name of the desired MAU Service Portal (e.g. UA Service Portal, UAA Service Portal).
     
    Note
    The displayed list of service portals will not include the service portal you are currently on, it will only display the other service portal(s) you can switch to.

  5. The Home page of the selected service portal will be displayed.

Need additional help or have issues

For support, requests may be submitted anytime using the appropriate Service form. Requests generate a Ticket which will be worked in order received and urgency by UAA Employees with the knowledge and permissions to assist with the request.
