Employee Position Management

Assistance and requests related to Position Descriptions (PD). PDs are for benefitted positions and are intended to describe the general duties and responsibilities, required knowledge, skills, abilities, and required education and experience needed to perform those duties. PDs are classified into a job family that determines the pay grade and system title for the position. An approved PD is required prior to beginning the recruitment process. PDs for occupied positions may be updated to make minor changes to a position without changing its classification or to make substantial changes that result in reclassifying the position to a different grade level or job family.

  • Prior to completing this form, ensure you have obtained the proper approvals for this request from your dean, director or supervisor.

Availability

Requests may be submitted at anytime and will be worked and responded to during normal operating hours for UAA Shared Services.

UAA Shared Services normal business hours are Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm, Alaska time.
