Digital Signage Groups

Overview

Groups provide a simple, scalable way to manage who can access digital sign players and content within the Digital Signage system. By organizing users, devices, and content into clearly defined groups - such as departments, campuses, or administrative units - this allows the university to streamline permissions, reduce administrative overhead, and help ensure the right people control the right screens. This approach also supports consistency, security, and easier coordination across a complex academic environment.

The following groups are currently available for use.

ADSAIL - AK Data Science & Artificial Intel. Lab Individuals, content, and digital signs associated with the Alaska Data Science & Artificial Intelligence Lab
Center for Human Development Individuals, content, and digital signs associated with the UAA Center for Human Development.
College of Arts & Sciences Individuals, content, and digital signs associated with the UAA College of Arts & Sciences.
College of Arts & Sciences BMH Only Individuals, content, and digital signs associated with the UAA College of Arts & Sciences within the BMH building.
College of Business & Public Policy Individuals, content, and digital signs associated with the UAA College of Business & Public Policy
College of Engineering Individuals, content, and digital signs associated with the UAA College of Engineering.
Enrollment Services Individuals, content, and digital signs associated with the UAA Enrollment Services.
ISER - Institute of Social and Economic Research Individuals, content, and digital signs associated with the UAA Institute of Social and Economic Research.
IT Services Individuals, content, and digital signs associated with the UAA IT Services.
Residence Life Individuals, content, and digital signs associated with the UAA Residence Life.
Shared Content & Signs (Everyone) Content intended to be shared across multiple locations and departments. Use of content is at the discretion of sign owners.
Student Engagement Individuals, content, and digital signs associated with the UAA Student Engagement.

Additional groups are created as need by the Digital Signage Administrators. Sign owners can request new groups by submitting a Digital Signage ticket.

Need additional help or have issues

For support, requests may be submitted anytime using the appropriate Digital Signage form. Requests generate a Ticket which will be worked in order received and urgency by IT Employees with the knowledge and permissions to assist with the request.
