Overview
Information containing some general troubleshooting tips for Cisco Jabber used by University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) faculty and staff. If you're experiencing calls dropping or freezing, the following are some suggestions to resolve the issue.
Tip
UAA is not licensed for Jabber Mobile, so you will not be able to utilize the software on an iOS/iPadOS or Android device.
What materials do I need?
- UAA Employee (Staff/Faculty)
- Provisioned for UAA Telephone Number
- Provisioned for Cisco Jabber
General Troubleshooting Suggestions
- Be sure the you're connected to UAA's VPN network via Global Protect.
- Verify that you're using the latest version of Jabber.
- Reset Jabber. At the login screen there is an option under the login to reset jabber.
Important
This will clear chat and call history, and you will need to login again with your UA Username and password.
- Clear Internet browser cache.
Need additional help or have issues
For support, requests may be submitted anytime using the appropriate Telephones form. Requests generate a Ticket which will be worked in order received and urgency by UAA Employees with the knowledge and permissions to assist with the request.
