Overview
Gmail does not support recalling sent messages. However, it does offer an Undo send option.
This setting gives you the option to take back a message you just sent by delaying sending the message for a few seconds. If you don't select the "Undo" within the time limit, your message will be sent. Undo send may not work if you experience connection issues.
Important
Recalling a sent message in Gmail is primarily supported in the web client. If you are using a desktop, or mobile application to access you Gmail account you mail not have access to the Undo Send message option.

Set Cancellation period
To enable Undo send for your account do the following.
- Login to your G Suite @ UA account.
- Click the gear icon in the top right.
- Select Settings.
- Scroll down to Undo Send and click Enable.
- Set the cancellation period (the amount of time you have to decide if you want to unsend an email). Current options are:
- 5 seconds
- 30 seconds
- 20 seconds
- 10 seconds
- Click Save Changes at the bottom of the page.
Recall an email with Undo Send
If you decide you don't want to send an email, you have a short time after to cancel it. Right after you send a message, you can retract it:
- In the bottom left, you'll see "Message sent" and the option to "Undo" or "View message".
- Click Undo.
