Check Display Settings for Multiple Displays on Chromebook

Overview

Individuals can check and configure the display settings on their Chromebook when having multiple monitors connected. 

What materials do I need?

  • Chromebook
  • External monitor(s)

How do I use this technology?

  1. Confirm the cable plugged into the monitor and the laptop is not broken
  2. Click the System Clock on the bottom right corner of the screen

  3. Click the Gear icon on the pop-up menu to open Settings

  4. Select Connected Devices on the left

  5. Click the Displays option listed under Device
    • To adjust your Chromebook screen, select Built-in Display
    • To adjust your monitor screen, select the name of the monitor
  6. To make items on your screen smaller or larger, go to the Display size section for options
  7. To rotate the screen, go to the Orientation section for options
