This article contains instructions on how to connect to the "MSC - Guest" network at Mat-Su College.
Warning
The
"MSC - Guest" WiFi network is intended for visitors and
should not be used by UAA students, faculty, or staff.
This network is
slower, has
limited access, and
requires daily re-authentication, which can interrupt your connection.
For the best experience, including
faster speeds and
persistent connectivity without daily logins, always connect to
"UAA WiFi - MatSu" using your UA credentials.
In this article:
What materials do I need?
- Wi-Fi-capable device such as an iPhone, Android phone, Windows laptop, macOS laptop, etc.
How do I use this technology?
- Navigate to your device's WiFi Settings.
- Connect to MSC - Guest.
- Your device will open a captive portal webpage.
- Click the "I accept the Terms of Service" check box.

- Click the "Sign In" button.
- The webpage should now say "Success", or "Page not found". Click the "Done" button or close the browser window.

- The prompt should now close and connect you to our Wi-Fi. If you received a "Page not found" message, please wait up to 1 minute.
- To test if you're connected, open any web page, such as Mat-Su College or Google.
Troubleshooting
If you are unable to connect, follow the troubleshooting steps below:
- Ensure you read and accepted our terms and conditions, then go back to step 1.
- All requirements met in the What materials do I need? section.
- Reboot your device, then go back to step 1.
- Forget the "MSC - Guest" SSID in your device's Wi-Fi settings, then go back to step 1.
- Check our UAA ITS Status Page for possible network outages.
