Adding the eWolf ePortfolio Course Link in Blackboard Ultra
-
Navigate to your Blackboard course at classes.alaska.edu
-
In your Course Content, click the plus sign and select Content Market.
-
Scroll down to find eWolf ePortfolio Course Link in the Content Market and click the plus sign in the bottom right to add it to your Course Content.
-
You’ll now see the eWolf ePortfolio Course Link in your Content. When it’s initially added, it’s hidden. You can change the name, description, and visibility at any point.
-
As the Instructor, click the eWolf ePortfolio Course Link in your Course Content. This opens a new tab with an eWolf course with same name as your course in Blackboard. It will import the faculty and student users from your course automatically. If it’s your first time interacting with Digication (UAA’s ePortfolio platform) then you’ll see an end user license agreement that you’ll need to agree to before continuing on to the eWolf Course.
-
If you're ready to create an assignment, you can choose to Create New Assignment or Import Assignments from here, or come back and do that in eWolf at a later time.
Note: If you have an assignment in your eWolf course, but haven't added the eWolf ePortfolio Assignment tool for that assignment in Ultra, you won't see the assignment in your gradebook in Ultra automatically. For the grade column to be visible in the Ultra gradebook, you need to either:
-
Wait until a student submits something to the assignment. The item will appear in your gradebook at that point, OR
-
Add the eWolf ePortfolio Assignment Link tool for that assignment in your Content. This is optional. Even if you don’t provide direct links to specific eWolf assignments in your course content, as long as you’ve toggled the “Send grade to Blackboard” option in the assignment settings and when you grade the submission, you’ll still be able to grade the assignments in eWolf and have the grades automatically connect back to Blackboard.
Adding an eWolf ePortfolio Assignment Link in Blackboard Ultra
To add a link directly to an eWolf assignment in your Ultra course, follow these steps:
-
In your Course Content, click the plus sign and select Content Market.
-
Scroll down to find eWolf ePortfolio Assignment Link in the Content Market and click on it.
-
That will open a new tab with a list of your assignments in eWolf for the Course. You can select any assignment by clicking the checkbox next to the assignment name, and choosing Select.
-
You’ll get a message saying that it was added successfully, and you can close that tab and refresh your Blackboard Ultra course to see the new content.
-
Now there is a link to the eWolf assignment in your Content and it is automatically titled with the name of the assignment. In the Gradebook now there is a column associated with the eWolf assignment. You can edit the item to change the name, description, due date, visibility, or release conditions.
