Overview
This article will go over how you can change your University of Alaska (UA) email alias using ME.UAA. Your UA email address is the same as your UA username by default, however you are able to change it to a number of pre-determined aliases.
What do I need to know?
- UA username and current UA password.
- If you forgot your UA username or password, please visit the ME.UAA account recovery website.
- Internet access
- Web browser (i.e. Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Apple Safari, etc)
How do I change my email alias?

Log in to me.uaa.alaska.edu using your UA ID number or Username and your password.

- Once you are logged in, click on the green change link under Email Destination.

Click on Manage email aliases.

Click on the Activate button next to any one of the available aliases. These aliases are pre-generated based on our standardized email naming conventions.

- When you are finished selecting your preferred alias, click the Done button.
Additional Info
If you ever need to remove an alias you have set in the past, the current active aliases will show up under the Active email aliases section. To remove an alias, click on Deactivate next to any of the active email aliases.

For email alias support, requests may be submitted anytime using the appropriate Help with Issue Sending or Receiving Email form. Requests generate a Ticket which will be worked in order received and urgency by UAA Employees with the knowledge and permissions to assist with the request.
