Wireless Network (WiFi)

The University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) provides high-bandwith, high-availability wireless network (WiFi) service to UAA campuses across the state.

Eligible Peoples

• Faculty
• Non-University Individual with a UA Login
• Sponsored Guest
• Staff
• Student
• Student Employee
• Contracted Vendor

Requirements

• This service requires network access. Customers must be in compliance with the University of Alaska's Acceptable Use of Online Resources policy.
• Device connecting to the network must have a network adapter capable of connecting to a 802.11n/ac network.

Cost

Wireless network connectivity is available at no cost to end users.

Availability

24 hours a day 7 days a week exclusions are,

• During scheduled updated or upgrades that require the system to be unavailable. You can see service availability on the UAA Service Status page.
• Requests for special Wi-Fi networks, and other general services are processed weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This service is provided by UAA IT Services. Requests for this service may be submitted anytime via the Request button on the right side of this page. Requests generate a Ticket which will be worked in order received and urgency by the IT Employees with the knowledge and permissions to assist with the request.
