Department & Employee Printing

All administrative and academic departments have access to a variety of printing services.

Network accessible Multi-Functional Printers/Copiers (MFPs) are made available via UAA's Distributed Copier Service (DCS) contract. The contract allows for placement of new leased machines for three years (July 2021 - June 2024) and are administered by UAA General Support Services (GSS). New machines may be ordered by departments and placed up through une 30, 2024, with each machine under a 36 month obligation. Existing machines that are under the previous contract may not be exchanged/replaced until the previous contract expires on that machine.

Installation and support for traditional office printer(s) is also available. These are non-Managed Print, and MFP printers and devices. For a complete description of applicable charges base on service type, please review our Service Expectations and Engagement Process page.

Requirements

Before submitting a ticket, please have the following information available:

  • Building(s) and room(s) where the equipment is, or will be, located
  • Type of equipment (i.e. make and model), and number of devices
  • For equipment setup/relocation; the number of people, and computers who will need access to the printer(s)

Cost

  • Details regarding rates and the capabilities of each MFP model is available on GSS/DCS web page.

Availability

24 hours a day 7 days a week exclusions are,

  • During scheduled updated or upgrades that require the system to be unavailable.

Request for maintenance, and equipment installation are processed weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Requests generate a Ticket which will be worked in order received and urgency by the IT Employees with the knowledge and permissions to assist with the request.
