Electronic Door Locks

The electronic door locks operate very much like that of a card lock on a hotel room. Your current UAA ID card (i.e. Wolfcard) will serve as your access key.

  • Non-University Individual with a UA Login
  • Sponsored Guest
  • Staff
  • Student
  • Student Employee
  • Contracted Vendor


  • An individual affiliated with the University of Alaska Anchorage with a valid Wolfcard.


  • Use of electronic door locks is provided to all active students, staff, and faculty at not cost.
  • Departments may be responsible for costs associated with the installation of new electronic door locks on rooms they are responsible for.


24 hours a day 7 days a week exclusions are,

  • During scheduled updated or upgrades that require the system to be unavailable.

Requests generate a Ticket which will be worked in order received and urgency by the IT Employees with the knowledge and permissions to assist with the request.
