Access to campus security information, including video surveillance, is provided only to university officials with a legitimate educational interest (that is, when the information is necessary for the performance of official university duties). Campus security information may include information that can be used to compromise or circumvent security, violate privacy, and may cause embarrassment or harm if used or disclosed improperly. In addition, disclosure of stored surveillance footage must conform to FERPA requirements where applicable.

Cost
Requesting departments are responsible for the purchase price of IP cameras and any required infrastructure required to operate the camera. Estimates can be provided during consultation. Departments wishing to use non-UA standardized cameras can do so, as long as they are compatible with video surveillance system. Additional fees may be applied with non-UA standardized cameras. Core video storage and maintenance provided
Availability
24 hours a day 7 days a week exclusions are,
- During scheduled updated or upgrades that require the system to be unavailable.

This service is maintained and supported by UAA IT Services. Requests for support may be submitted anytime via the Request Support button on the right side of this page. Requests generate a Ticket which will be worked in order received and urgency by the IT Employees with the knowledge and permissions to assist with the request.
