The content management system (CMS), empowers UAA academic and administrative units seeking to build official web presence that reflects university branding guidelines. It allows organizations to update their web pages with a user-friendly interface that is available through any current Web browser. The CMS creates a collaborative environment for your web development team. It operates on its own secure server separate from the live website. This means that you can work on pages in your site and then publish them out to the "Live" Server when they are ready. It also saves every 'version' of your content so you can edit and later revert to the older file.
New user trainings will be done online. To get started, email the web team at uaa-its-webapps@alaska.edu. Instructions on what to do next will be sent to you once we set up your personal training portal.
Web Consultations are available for one or more current authors of the same site looking for advice or training on more advance topics on request, and may be held face-to-face or via web conference.
