UAA Lab Remote Access

Overview

UAA Students can easily connect to our on-campus computer facilities from any remote location. It also makes it easy to know which machines are available to connect to by monitoring active connections and not making in-use machines available to connect to. Please note that some labs are only accessible to students enrolled in courses in Colleges that manage their own labs. We are working on an enhancement that will make this more obvious.

What materials do I need?

How do I use this technology?

  1. Connect to the UAA GlobalProtect VPN
  2. Visit the UAA Lab Remote Access page.
  3. Login with your UA username and password.
  4. Click on the facility you are wanting to access.
  5. Find an available computer
  6. Download and open the connection file.
  7. Press the Connect button.
  8. Login with your UA username and password
    You may need to choose More choices and Use a different account.

If you find that the selected computer is already in use, try another computer.

Need additional help or have issues

For support, requests may be submitted anytime by Requesting Support for the Computer Labs service. Support Requests are worked by Priority based on the Impact and Urgency of need as well as the order they are received by the IT Employees with the knowledge and permissions to assist with the request.
