Overview
There are several ways to submit a print job to the Managed Print system. The following methods apply to university owned computers that are configured to use specific printers.
Printing from University Computers
- Login to the computer using your UA username and password. This login will automatically be associate your print job to your Managed Print account.
- Click Print within the desired application.
- Select the appropriate printer.
- Select/configure your desired print job options (e.g. duplex/double-sided, simplex/single-sided, etc.)
- Click Print.
- Go to the Print Release station, login with your UA username and password, then swipe your UA ID card (or Copy Card).
- Select your desired print job(s) from the list of documents you sent to the queue, then click Print.
- Pickup your print job(s) from the nearby printer.
Printing from Library Public Computers
- Access the public workstation (no login required).
- Click Print within your desired application.
- At the Print Job Details dialog window, enter a username/passphrase to uniquely associate/identify your job, then click Print.
- Go to the Print Release station, and swipe your copy card, or UA ID card.
- Select your desired print job(s), then click Print. When prompted, enter the passphrase you previously entered for the job.
- Pickup your print job(s) from the nearby printer.
Need additional help or have issues
For support, requests may be submitted anytime using the appropriate Managed Print form. Requests generate a Ticket which will be worked in order received and urgency by UAA Employees with the knowledge and permissions to assist with the request.
