Connect to UAA WiFi - Anchorage on a Chromebook

This article contains instructions on how to connect to the UAA WiFi - Anchorage network for individuals on a Chromebook or a computer running ChromeOS.

  • WiFi-capable Chromebook or ChromeOS computer
  • UA username and password
  • Active UAA student or employee

How do I use this technology?

Connect to UAA WiFi - Anchorage

  1. Click on the WiFi icon in the bottom right of the screen.

  2. Click on UAA WiFi - Anchorage.
  3. In the Join Wi-Fi network window, set the following settings:
    • EAP method: PEAP
    • EAP Phase 2 authentication: MSCHAPv2
    • Server CA certificate: Do not check
    • Subject Match
      • For UAA-owned Chromebooks, set the field to UA.
      • For personal Chromebooks, leave the field blank.
    • Identity: your UA username
    • Password: your current UA password

  4. Click the blue Connect button on the bottom right.
  5. You should now be connected to UAA WiFi - Anchorage.
  6. To test if you're connected, open any web page, such as our main UAA website.

Requests generate a Ticket which will be worked in order received and urgency by IT Employees with the knowledge and permissions to assist with the request.
