Canva (Free) is available for current University of Alaska students, staff, and faculty. Canva's layouts make it easy for faculty, staff, and students to design professional-looking graphics, posters, social media posts, and more.

Signing up for Canva with your UA account will automatically assign you their Free tier license. Canva for Education, which previously provided Pro tier licenses to University accounts, no longer applies to Universities.

If as staff or faculty, you need a Pro license, please work with your department and UA Procurement to purchase it.

The Canva platform presents several accessibility barriers and should not be considered for use by university staff if accessible design software is required. When creating content in Canva, be sure to follow accessibility guidelines, including adding alt-text to images, checking for color contrast, and using legible text. Please reference the Design for Accessibility | Canva Webinar for additional information on making Canva accessible.
