Security Keys with Duo Security

Overview

Duo offers support for Security Keys that can be used for Multi-Factor Authentication.

Available Options

YubiKey

YubiKeys have a conductive touch surface that will activate the key when it is connected to the computer. When it activates while Duo is waiting for the key, it will authenticate and log you in.

Feitian Token

These keys have a LCD screen that will show a code. When Duo prompts for the code, entering the generated code will authenticate and log you in.

Using the Security Keys

Yubikey

1. Login to access the Duo Prompt.
2. When Duo prompts for the Security Key, insert the Yubikey into an available USB port on the computer.
3. Touch the Contact Area of the Yubikey.

Feitian Token

1. Login to access the Duo Prompt.
2. When Duo prompts for the Security Code, enter the code exactly as it appears on your token.

Need additional help or have issues

For support, requests may be submitted anytime by Requesting Support for the Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) service. Support Requests are worked by Priority based on the Impact and Urgency of need as well as the order they are received by the IT Employees with the knowledge and permissions to assist with the request.
