Overview
Information for students, staff, and faculty on how to log in to the University's Learning Management System (LMS), Blackboard.
Note
- Access to the LMS is based on your role at the University. Students must be registered for a course before access is granted. Faculty members have access upon becoming an employee.
- If you just registered for a course in UAOnline, the course may not show up in Blackboard until the next day.
What materials do I need?
While Blackboard Learn is available on all modern browsing platforms and as a mobile app, some features are not fully supported by all browsers. For this reason, the following browsers are recommended for the best Blackboard Learn experience:

How do I use this technology?
- Use a web browser to navigate to Learning Management System (Blackboard), or type in classes.alaska.edu in your browser's address bar.
- If prompted with the Privacy, cookies, and terms of use, click the OK button on the bottom-right of the prompt.

- Click the Login with UA Account button.

- Type in your UA Username and password.
- Click the Sign in button below.

- Authenticate through MFA.

- Once you are signed in, your Blackboard home page should look similar to this. Congratulations, you are now signed in to Blackboard.

Is there any additional information I should know about?
Extensions
Blackboard Learn makes use of cookies to help manage your activity. Some learning tools may also make use of cookies and/or other data that may normally be blocked by some privacy extensions.
It is recommended that the use of any ad-blocking and privacy management extensions be suspended during sessions of activity on Blackboard Learn to prevent any issues or inconsistencies with user experience.
Need additional help or have issues
For support, requests may be submitted anytime by Requesting Support for the Learning Management System (LMS) service. Support Requests are worked by Priority based on the Impact and Urgency of need as well as the order they are received by the IT Employees with the knowledge and permissions to assist with the request.
