This document guides you through connecting to the UAA wireless network with a macOS Device.
What materials do I need?
- Max OS Device
- Wireless Network Adapter
- UA domain username & password
How do I use this technology?
Connecting to the WiFi-Public SSID
- Click Preferences
- Select the Network Icon
- Select Airport or WiFi depending on your version of Mac OS from the menu
- Select UAA WiFi – Public
- Browse to any website (like http://www.google.com)
- Accept the terms of use policy from the UAA WiFi web page
You are now configured to use the wireless network. This process needs to be performed every time you access the wireless network.
Connecting to the WiFi-Anchorage SSID
- Click Preferences
- Select the Network Icon
- Select WiFi
- If necessary turn WiFi on
- From the network drop down menu select UAA WiFi – Anchorage. If necessary release the menu and select it again
- Enter you UA username and password, this is the same username and password that you use to check your email and access Blackboard
- Click Join
- If the view certificate dialog box appears, select always trust this certificate and click continue

- Enter a username and password that has administrator access to your work station, click update settings
- Close system preference
- Launch a web browser and if the settings are correct you will be taken to you default web page
This is a onetime setup and you will not need to repeat this process unless either you username or password changes.
