Personal Computer Support

The Personal Computer Support service offered to University of Alaska (UA) students, staff, and faculty providing support for personal computers, mobile devices, and printers. Services include initial diagnosis of problems, software troubleshooting, hardware repair, and recommendations.

  • Staff
  • Student

Requirements

Before submitting a ticket, please have the following information ready:

  • Service tag and/or serial number of equipment
  • Username and password for account with administrative access
  • A list of any additional equipment dropped off with computer (e.g. laptop power adapter, external storage device, etc.)
  • Customers must provide licensed media or hardware for loading or installation.
  • Customers need to drop off equipment, and other appropriate accessories, to the campus repair center during normal operating hours. Under no circumstances will UA IT staff perform any repairs at a person's personal residence.

Availability

This service is available weekdays from 8am to 5pm.

Supported By

This service is provided by UAA IT Services. Requests for this service may be submitted anytime via the Request button on the right side of this page. Requests generate a Ticket which will be worked in order received and urgency by the IT Employees with the knowledge and permissions to assist with the request.
