The UA Account is an account name (aka username) that uniquely identifies you as a member of the University of Alaska (UA) community. It is recorded in UA business systems, and is visible to university employees. It's what you'll use to login to most university systems, and services. Your UA Account and password form a part of your university credentials; your access to specific services is determined by your eligibility and authority.
Use of a UA Account is governed by university policy as expressed in Board of Regents' (BOR) Policy 02.07.50.
As your relationship with UA changes – through graduation, employment, retirement, etc. – the status of your UA Account will change from active, to inactive, and back; however your UA Account itself does not change.
