Access Adobe Applications With a UA Account

Overview

This article will show how to access the Adobe Creative Cloud license using your University Identity. If you have not been assigned a licence you need to go submit a request for a Adobe Creative Cloud license.

What materials do I need?

  • Computer
  • Admin Access on a personal computer or with assistance from the Technical Support Center for University Devices
  • License for Adobe Creative Cloud or Acrobat DC

How do I use this technology?

Sign in to Adobe Creative Cloud if no prior Adobe Account with your email

After you are assigned a license, Adobe sends a welcome email. In this email it will ask you to finish setting up your account. If you did not receive that welcome email, then follow the instructions below to access your account.

  1. Navigate to https://creativecloud.adobe.com
  2. Click Sign In.

  3. Enter your email address and press Continue.

  4. If you already had a Personal Adobe ID with your email address, you will see the following screen. If not skip to step 6. If you see the below screen choose Company or School Account. 
  5. If you have had a license under department managed account you will need will see the below screen. 
  6. If you did not already have a Personal Adobe ID with your university email or you chose the option from above. Enter your email at the Microsoft 365 Prompt.

  7. Enter your UA password for your University Account

  8. Approve your Duo prompt. For example:

Install the Creative Cloud Desktop App

  1. After you are signed in, click the Install Creative Cloud app link on the right hand side to start the process to install the Creative Cloud desktop app.

Next Steps

After downloading and installing the Creative Cloud Desktop app, you will be able to install any application that you would like that is part of the license.

For support, requests may be submitted anytime using the appropriate Personal Computer Support form. Requests generate a Ticket which will be worked in order received and urgency by UAA Employees with the knowledge and permissions to assist with the request.

The Adobe Cloud is where Adobe software can be accessed. License to adobe software via the Adobe Cloud are centrally managed by a University of Alaska system license agreement. Departments can purchase licenses from this agreement for use by Staff, Faculty, and Students, whether for administrative duties, or academic work.
