Update an Existing Knowledge Article

Overview

Like many things knowledge is a living, evolving thing as services and process change over time. This requires that knowledge articles be periodically reviewed and updated to reflect that latest information available.

  1. Open a web browser and go to https://service.alaska.edu/TDClient/36/Portal/KB/
  2. In the upper right corner of the browser click Sign In.
  3. In the Knowledge Base navigate, or search to the applicable article.
  4. Click Edit Article.
  5. Under the Content section edit the desired content. When complete click Save Draft.
  6. Click;the Settings section.
  7. Review the following, and update them as required:
    • Category
    • Summary
    • Tags
  8. Select the Next Review Date field.
    • Enter a date one (1) year from the current date.
    Important
    This step is only available to individuals with Contributor or higher role within the knowledge base system.
  9. Click Save.
