Disable HonorLock in Learning Management System (Blackboard) Ultra Course


Honorlock’s exam proctoring software monitors each student’s exam session and alerts a live, US-based test proctor if it detects any potential problems. This guide is to help show Faculty how to disable Honorlock in a test in their Learning Management System (Blackboard) Ultra Course.

What materials do I need?

  • Chrome Web Browser 
  • UA Username 
  • Current UA password
  • Instructor Access to Blackboard course

Next Steps

  1. Login to Learning Management System (Blackboard)
    Learning Management System (Blackboard) log in page
  2. Click on the course with the HonorLock tool
  3. Navigate to the Course Content 
  4. Click on the Honorlock Exam List Tool
    Course Content, click on test
  5. Click Settings on the Test that will be disabled

  6. In the Honorlock section, Scroll to the bottom of the Honorlock settings and click Disable

  7. Click Disable Exam
  8. The test will show a warning message stating the test is disabled in Honorlock
  9. Navigate back to the Course Content
  10. Click on the test that will be disabled from using Honorlock

  11. Click on the Gear Icon

  12. Under Assessment Security, Select Proctored Assessment

  13. Click the slide bar to Disable Honorlock

  14. Click Save
    Save proctored assessment settings
  15. Click Save
    save test settings
  16. The Proctor symbol will be removed from the test
