Apply Test to HonorLock in Learning Management System (Blackboard) Ultra Course

Overview

Honorlock’s exam proctoring software monitors each student’s exam session and alerts a live, US-based test proctor if it detects any potential problems. This guide is to help show Faculty how to apply a Test or Exam in their Learning Management System (Blackboard) Ultra Course with Honorlock.

What materials do I need?

  • Chrome Web Browser 
  • UA Username 
  • Current UA password
  • Instructor Access to Blackboard course

Next Steps

  1. Login to Learning Management System (Blackboard)

  2. Click on the course with the HonorLock tool
  3. Navigate to the Course Content
  4. Click on the test that will be using Honorlock 
    Course Content, click on test
     
  5. Click on the Gear Icon

  6. Under Assessment Security, Select Proctored Assessment

  7. Click the slide bar to Enable Honorlock

  8. Click Save
    Save proctored assessment settings
     
  9. Click Save
    save test settings
     
  10. This will open the Honorlock settings menu. These settings can be configured for each proctored exam individually or you can create an Exam Profile that can be applied to all proctored exams. From this settings menu you can choose who is notified if any activity is flagged during the exam, set the authorized and restricted activities for the exam, and add accommodations and exceptions.

  11. Click Save
    Honorlock save button
     

  12. The Test will show as Proctored in Course Content
    Test shows as proctored

For support, requests may be submitted anytime using the appropriate Learning Management System (LMS) form. Requests generate a Ticket which will be worked in order received and urgency by UAA Employees with the knowledge and permissions to assist with the request.
