OneDrive for Business macOS Client Sync Settings

Overview

To change the folders that sync for a site, or to stop syncing all files on a site, on a macOS device follow the steps below.

 

What materials do I need?

  • macOS device with OneDrive client installed

 

How do I use this technology?

  1. Click the OneDrive icon in the menu bar.

  2. Click More.

  3. Click Preferences.

  4. Click the Account tab.

  5. Locate the desired location, and click Choose Folders.

  6. To change the folders that you're syncing, select the desired folders, and files you want to sync.

    After selecting the desired content you want to have available on your device, click Ok.
     
  7. To stop syncing a site, click Stop Sync next to the site.

Important
If you've elected to stop syncing one, or more, location with the OneDrive client copies of the files remain on your device. You can delete them if you want.
