Overview
This document gives step by step instructions for how to download and install GlobalProtect VPN for Windows desktops.

Important
If you have Duo Multi-Factor Authentication on your account, your preferred DUO method will be used without the normal Duo prompt that allows you to select your method; so, if you have mobile push configured, you will simply get a notification on your mobile device to approve. The client will not give you any indication that this happened.
We are working with OIT to improve this behavior; however, for technical reasons there is not currently a more user-friendly solution.

- Desktop computer

- University of Alaska login credentials
How do I use this technology?
How to Download
- In web browser go to https://uaa.vpn.alaska.edu.
- Login using your UA credentials.
- Click the download link for your type of Windows (32-bit / 64-bit). This can be found in your computer system settings under the about tab.
How to Install
- After the download completes, launch the download installer file.
- At the Welcome to GlobalProtect Setup Wizard screen, click Next >.
- At the Select Installation Folder screen, keep the default folder, and click Next >.
- At the Confirm Installation screen click Next >.
- Click install (allow .msi file to make changes), and wait for the installation to complete.
