GlobalProtect VPN for Mobile Devices

Overview

This article gives step-by-step instructions for downloading and installing GlobalProtect VPN on your personal iOS/iPadOS or Android mobile device.

What materials do I need?

• iOS/iPadOS or Android mobile device
• Stable internet connection
• Web browser (i.e. Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Apple Safari, etc)
• UA username
• Current UA password
• Duo MFA device

How do I use this technology?

Install GlobalProtect

1. On your mobile device, click the appropriate link below to install the GlobalProtect app.
   • Android: GlobalProtect client on Google Play store
   • iOS/iPadOS: GlobalProtect client on Apple App Store
2. After installation is complete, launch the GlobalProtect app.
3. Enter the portal address of uaa.vpn.alaska.edu
4. Tap the CONNECT button.
   
    
5. Log in using your UA credentials.
   
    
6. You are now connected.
   

For Android Devices Only

1. Once the connection is approved, a Connection Request notification will open on your screen, and select OK.
   
    
2. You are now connected.
   

Need additional help or have issues

For support, requests may be submitted anytime using the appropriate Support for Remote Connectivity VPN form. Requests generate a Ticket which will be worked in order received and urgency by UAA Employees with the knowledge and permissions to assist with the request.
