Overview
This document gives step by step instructions for how to download and install GlobalProtect VPN for mobile devices.
Important
If you have Duo Multi-Factor Authentication on your account, your preferred DUO method will be used without the normal Duo prompt that allows you to select your method; so, if you have mobile push configured, you will simply get a notification on your mobile device to approve. The client will not give you any indication that this happened.
We are working with OIT to improve this behavior; however, for technical reasons there is not currently a more user-friendly solution.

How do I use this technology?
How to Download/Install
- On your mobile device, click the appropriate link below to download the GlobalProtect client.
- On your mobile device open the GlobalProtect app, and tap install.
- After installation is complete, tap Open.
- Enter the portal address of uaa.vpn.alaska.edu, and tap connect.
- Login using your UA credentials, and approve connection via Dou Mobile.
- You are now connected.
Android Devices Only
- Once connection is approved via Duo Mobile, a Connection Request notification will open on your screen select ok.
- You are now connected.
