Overview
Create an announcement to help communicate comprehensive messages to project members by either prominently featuring the message on the project's homepage or by notifying the members via email notification.
Important
Project announcements can be added by any project participant such as the Project Manager, Alternate Manager, and Project Resources.

How do I use this technology?
Access Project
To add an announcement to a project, you must first open the project. This can be done via either the TDWorkManagement interface, or via the Service Portal.
TDWorkManagement
- Login to ESM TDWorkManagement.
- Click View Applications.
- Click Projects.
- Open the appropriate Project.
- The Project will open in a new application tab.
- From the left sub navigation, click Announcements.

- Proceed to the Create Announcement step below.
Service Portal
- In the Service Portal, click Projects.

- Click the appropriate Project name.

- Click the Announcements tab.

- Proceed to the Create Announcement step below.
Create Announcement
- Click the +New button.
Tip
Depending on if the announcement is being created within TDWorkManagement, or the Service Portal will influence the nature of the interface displayed; however, the fields remain the same. The example below is from the TDWorkManagement.
- In the New Announcement window, enter a Title.

- Click the Projects / Workspaces dropdown, click the checkbox for all the projects or workspaces to which you’d like to post this announcement.
Important
The Projects / Workspaces field is only available to individuals adding an announcement via TDWorkManagement. It is not available through the Service Portal.

- In the Body field, enter the announcement details.

- To add an Expiration Date, enter a date that the announcement will automatically expire.

- To add an attachment, click Browse, select your files, then click the Upload button.

If an announcement has an attachment, it can be viewed from the Announcement Detail window.
- Optional, check the Notify users about this announcement checkbox to send an email notification to all project members.

- Click the Save button.

- In the Announcement Created Successfully dialog window, close the side panel.
Important
The Announcement Created Successfully dialog window only appears when an announcement is created via the TDWorkManagement. When the announcement is created via the Service Portal, the page will refresh and display a list of active announcements.

Need additional help or have issues
For support, requests may be submitted anytime using the appropriate Enterprise Service Management form. Requests generate a Ticket which will be worked in order received and urgency by IT Employees with the knowledge and permissions to assist with the request.
