Reminder Notifications for Approval, Choice and Task steps

Overview

Approval, Choice and Task steps include the ability to send reminder notifications when the step remains active.

What materials do I need?

  • Access to ESM TDNext
  • Assigned App Admin role for one or more ticketing applications

How do I use this technology?

Follow these steps to add reminder notifications to a workflow step: 

  1. In TDAdmin, open and check out the workflow you want to modify (TDAdmin > Applications > [Ticketing Application] > Workflows > [Workflow] > View Builder > Check Out). 
  2. Edit the settings for an Approval, Choice or Task step. 
  3. Choose a reminder schedule
  4. Optionally set a limit to the number of reminders that can be sent. 

Reminders are sent on a daily basis, at the same time that the initial notification was sent for that step. Reminders use the Ticket Workflow Step Reminder notification template.

Important
The Ticket Workflow Step Reminder template is new for the v11.9 release. If you've customized the Notification Templates for your Ticketing App, you'll need to customize the reminder template to match the other templates.

Need additional help or have issues

For support, requests may be submitted anytime using the appropriate Enterprise Service Management form. Requests generate a Ticket which will be worked in order received and urgency by an IT Employee with the knowledge and permissions to assist with the request.
