Overview
Honorlock’s exam proctoring software monitors each student’s exam session and alerts a live, US-based test proctor if it detects any potential problems. This guide is to help show Faculty how to register their Learning Management System (Blackboard) Original Course with Honorlock.
Important
Before adding Honolock to your course please
register to incorporate Honorlock into your course with FD&IS. This ensures that you have the materials to add to your course and receive the most up-to-date information about the tool.
What materials do I need?
Next Steps
- Login to Learning Management System (Blackboard)
- Click on the course you wish to add the HonorLock tool
- Navigate to the Content Area of the Blackboard Original course shell
- Select the Build Content
- Select the Honorlock Exam List tool

Name the Tool Honorlock Exam List

Set the Permit Users to View this Content option to Yes.
Note
Student view of this LTI only shows the exams not the settings or the results so having the LTI visible gives students an alternate method to access the exam.

Click Submit.

Return to the course content page and you’ll now see the Honorlock Exam List tool.
Note
Students should be able to view this tool. Having the LTI visible to students gives them an alternate method of accessing their proctored exams and does not give them access to the settings or results menus. Honorlock support staff will ask the students to access the exam through the LTI when they are contacted with an issue

Need additional help or have issues
For support, requests may be submitted anytime using the appropriate Learning Management System (LMS) form. Requests generate a Ticket which will be worked in order received and urgency by UAA Employees with the knowledge and permissions to assist with the request.
