Transfer a call in Contact Center (Amazon Connect)

Overview

Amazon Connect is a cloud-based contact center service utilized by the University of Alaska, Anchorage (UAA) as our Contact Centers. This article provides instructions on how to transfer a call in UAA's Contact Center, Amazon Connect.

How do I use this technology?

  1. While on the call with the 1st person, click Quick connects
    On call with 1st person click quick connect
     
  2. Dial the 2nd number and click Call
    Dial 2nd number and hit call
     
  3. The 1st person should be on hold while connecting to the 2nd person
    1st hold 2nd trying to connect
     
  4. Once 2nd person is connected, click Join
    connected to 2nd click Join
     
  5. Click the end call icon
    Joined click end call

For support, requests may be submitted anytime using the appropriate <Service Form Name with Link> form. Requests generate a Ticket which will be worked in order received and urgency by UAA Employees with the knowledge and permissions to assist with the request.
